Titanium Ore in Patch 3.2
The hottest speculation in the WoW community this morning is that patch 3.2 will be going live today. The kind folks over at WoW.com already covered the news in detail, so hop on over to their site and check out today's news and the changes coming in patch 3.2. I'm not even going to try the cover the whole patch in detail, when they've already done a stellar wrapup of it.
So, what does this patch mean for us gold savvy miners and jewelcrafters with lots of shiny titanium ore glistening silently in our banks and guild vaults?
Miners:
The price of titanium ore is going to skyrocket for a couple weeks post patch, and hopefully you can unload your stash for mountains of gold. Right now I see a prettty median price of about 9-10g per ore across several servers, and I'm speculating that this will jump to about 40-50g per ore post patch.
However. when the realms first become playable again, I wouldn't be surprised to see ore in the 75-100g/each range as everyone will be scrambling around excited about the changes, but this price spike will definitely drop within 12-24 hours (or sooner). The early bird gets the worm, so it would be in your best interest to be ready when the realms come back up and auction up some test batches.
Oh, and make sure to hit up Icecrown and mine some more titanium until your fingers bleed. It will be in HUGE demand for a while.
Jewelcrafters:
Jewelcrafters, you will be able to prospect the ore for epic gems and powder (which is traded in for jewelcrafting tokens). These new, epic gems are going to be in incredibly high demand as people get geared up for the new Argent raid. Look for these new gems to be worth hundreds of gold apiece, both raw and cut. Of course, these prices will decline over time, but you stand to make hoards of cash if you play smart and play early. Hopefully you've been saving up your jewelcrafting tokens so you can buy the hottest new recipes and get the gems cut before other JCs on your server.
This is also the prime time to advertise your prospecting and gem cutting services. People without access to a reliable JC are going to want their ore prospected and/or gems cut ASAP. Sell your prospecting and gem cutting expertise. Get in trade chat and offer to prospect/cut for tips or even a flat rate per stack. People will buy.
Choices, choices, choices...
So, we've covered how money will be made off titanium ore in 3.2, but still, there's tough choices to make. The way I see it, you have 3 choices of what to do with your ore when patch 3.2 goes live:
1. Sell the raw ore.
2. Prospect the ore for gems and sell the raw gems.
3. Prospect the ore for gems and sell cut gems.
I will probably do a combination of all 3 as I have a jewelcrafting toon with lots of tokens to burn, as well as many stacks of titanium ore in the bank.
And there you have it. Miners and jewelcrafters stand to make alot of gold from this patch. So, if you've been stockpiling that ore and have a nice bank tab full of it, one thing is certain- whether you sell the ore or prospect it, cut the gems or sell them raw... you're going to make crazy amounts of gold. Now, go forth and prosper.

Farming Relics of Ulduar: Frostgrip's Hollow
Let's face it: the Sons of Hodir rep grind is one of the absolute most boring, painful rep grinds in all of Northrend. So, if you're looking to increase your Sons of Hodir reputation or simply just want to farm Relics of Ulduar to sell for gold, I have found one of the best spots in Northrend. It is a little cave which many people might simply overlook, but trust me - it's amazing.
The cave is called Frostgrip's Hollow. It is located on the Southwest side of Storm Peaks. It is found just off the southeast tip of Valkyrion and to the south of the Temple of Storms (see map).
Within Frostgrip's Hollow, you will find some Stormforged Loreseekers and Pillagers. They respawn incredibly fast, are easy to kill, and have an excellent drop rate for Relics of Ulduar. By the time you make one loop around the cave, they are already starting to respawn. You can farm here for long periods of time without stopping. They also drop various other items which you can vendor or auction, but mainly we're after the Relics here.
Also in the cave are some Saronite Nodes for miners and lots of Icethorn for herbalists. I usually average about 50-75 relics per hour, but your mileage may vary depending on how fast you can kill and how many other people are farming the same area. Giddy'up!
